Remembrance Sunday Rochdale

This coming Sunday 9 November 2025

Residents of Wardleworth and surrounding areas are invited to join the borough in honouring those who served and sacrificed.

Location: Rochdale Cenotaph, Memorial Gardens

Assembly: 10:30am outside The Flying Horse Hotel, Packer Street

Parade: Departs 10:50am via the pedestrian area

Service: Begins at 10:55am at the Cenotaph

Proceedings: Hymns, prayers, Last Post, two-minute silence, National Anthem, and march past

Wardle Parade assembles at 2:15pm at Village Square, departs 2:30pm for the Cenotaph

Road Closures: Ramsden Road and Wardle Road will be temporarily closed from 1:30pm to 4:00pm to ensure public safety 

There will be Armed Forces representatives, Veterans, Mayor of Rochdale, Civic dignitaries and community leaders present

Local policing teams will be present to support safety and coordination

Please arrive early to secure a good viewing spot, dress appropriately for the weather, follow guidance from stewards/officers

and respect the solemnity of the occasion

Poppies are available at Number One Riverside and selected local outlets. All proceeds support British servicemen and women and their families.
